
Mary Immaculate College will host MIC FemFest 2026 from March at its Limerick campus, featuring a series of events celebrating women’s experiences, creativity, and achievements. The festival includes discussions on topics such as girls in sport, women in radio, feminism and art, and women in philosophy.Highlights include an opening address by former Irish international athlete and author Jackie McCarthy O’Brien, a roundtable discussion with leading women in Irish broadcasting, and a screening of the documentary Blue Road: The Edna O’Brien Story. The festival is free and open to students, staff, and the public, encouraging conversations about gender equality ahead of International Women’s Day.
