The University of West Bohemia in Pilsen marked its first participation of a national team in team sports at the European University Championships, finishing 6th out of 14 teams. The men’s volleyball team won against the University of Bergen, lost to Fenerbahce Istanbul, and narrowly missed a quarterfinal victory against the University of Dresden. They secured a 3-2 win over the University of Sport Sciences of Budapest but lost to Valencia in the final match for fifth place. Coaches praised the team’s strong performance against top European teams, highlighting the players’ dedication and resilience. The championship also offered cultural and social activities for participants from across Europe.
