
The Silesian University of Technology hosted the conclusion of the sixth edition of Project Politechnika, a program connecting high school students with scientific research. This year, 54 projects from 30 schools and nearly 140 participants took part, working in university laboratories under the guidance of academic mentors.Students tackled real-world challenges, including water quality analysis, eco-friendly energy solutions, and biological studies, using Project Based Learning methods promoted by the university. Notable projects included a remote-controlled research boat, photochromic sensors for detecting invisible radiation, and sustainable geopolymers.Winners received recognition and ten-month scholarships of 700 PLN each, encouraging further study and research at the university. The event also featured poster presentations and a live chemistry demonstration by the Student Chemistry Club.
