Edutus University played a key role in supporting the RoboTech Challenge Day held in Eger, marking a major milestone as Central Europe’s first robot dog competition. Organized by the Heves County Vocational Training Centre, the event gathered 48 teams and 159 participants competing across multiple categories, including drone races, RoboMission challenges, and the innovative RoboDog Challenge.The competition featured a variety of tasks, where robot dogs demonstrated their abilities in slalom, football, and creative challenges. The event also hosted categories such as Future Engineers and line-following contests, highlighting the diversity of technological skills among participants.Hungary’s Minister for Culture and Innovation, Balázs Hankó, attended the opening ceremony and announced the country’s bid to host the World Robot Olympiad 2031 finals. The event emphasized the growing importance of robotics and innovation in education and showcased the collaborative efforts between academic institutions and vocational training centers.
