Jagiellonian University in Poland has achieved notable success in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026, being ranked in 27 academic disciplines—an increase from the previous year.The rankings, compiled by Quacquarelli Symonds, evaluate over 1,900 institutions worldwide across 55 subjects and five broad academic areas.Jagiellonian University performed particularly well in Library and Information Management, which once again received its highest ranking globally. Strong results were also recorded in fields such as philosophy, modern languages, and linguistics.In the broader subject areas, the university was ranked in four out of five categories:Arts and HumanitiesNatural SciencesSocial Sciences and ManagementLife Sciences and MedicineThe rankings consider several key indicators, including academic reputation, employer reputation, research citations, the H-index, and international research collaboration.This year’s results highlight the university’s growing academic impact and international recognition across multiple disciplines, reinforcing its position as one of Poland’s leading higher education institutions.
