
Slovenia | Faculty of Information Studies in Novo Mesto successfully organized a Computer Science and Web Technology Competition alongside a student hackathon, bringing together high school and university students for a weekend of innovation and coding.The competition, held on April 2026, featured two main categories. Participants demonstrated their skills in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while others tackled programming challenges using various coding languages. The event also included an interactive session led by Associate Professor Blaž Rodič and concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing top performers.In the web technologies category, Marcel Dežman secured first place, followed by Aleksander Bernad and Patrik Zajc. In the programming category, Srečko Matjaž Berginc claimed the top position, with Gašper Selan and Andraž Plevnik finishing second and third respectively.The following day, April 18, students participated in a hackathon organized by the FIŠ Student Council, where they collaborated on programming challenges in a dynamic and social environment.The event was supported by numerous industry partners and organizations, highlighting strong collaboration between academia and industry in fostering digital skills and innovation among young learners.
