Her research centers on responsibility, sustainability, green economy transitions, and social capital across industries.Her current work includes the OPPOSE research project, funded by the Research Council of Finland, which examines how industries adapt to increasing sustainability demands and aims to identify practical solutions for businesses navigating these transitions.Throughout her career, Siltaoja has held key leadership roles within the university, contributed to international research networks, and participated in global academic collaborations across countries including New Zealand, France, England, the Netherlands, and Denmark. She has also received recognition for her research through awards and publications in leading academic journals.In addition to research, she is an experienced educator, teaching at bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels while continuously updating her courses to reflect emerging academic trends.Siltaoja also highlighted the importance of attracting young researchers to academia, emphasizing both the opportunities and challenges of pursuing a research career.
