
Finland | The University of Helsinki has received 3,739 applications for its international master’s programmes starting in autumn 2026.The most popular programmes this year were Computer Science and Data Science, each attracting over 550 applications. Other strong interest was seen in Global Politics and Communication. In total, 33 master’s programmes were offered.A total of 1,626 applicants were admitted, representing 44 percent of all applicants. The admitted students come from 90 countries, with a majority from outside Finland, highlighting the university’s strong global reach.The university also reported a 10 percent decrease in applications compared to last year, reflecting a wider national trend.
