
Czech Republic | Charles University has officially signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Spojeni nadeji association to strengthen long-term support for individuals affected by the tragic 2023 shooting at the university’s Faculty of Arts.The agreement focuses on providing continued assistance to victims, bereaved families, and others impacted by the incident, while also promoting initiatives related to violence prevention, mental health support, and crisis preparedness. The memorandum builds on collaborative efforts from previous years, including memorial events, public communication, and the development of support structures such as the university’s resilience initiatives.Under the partnership, the university will support the association by offering spaces for non-commercial community, commemorative, and educational activities, as well as cooperating on awareness campaigns. In turn, the association will contribute by organizing remembrance events, sharing experiences, and supporting programs aimed at prevention and psychological well-being.Rector Jiri Zima emphasized that the memorandum reflects the university’s long-term commitment to standing পাশে those affected and ensuring respectful remembrance of the victims.
