Hungary | Nobel Prize winner Katalin Kariko will receive her 23rd honorary doctorate from the University of Oxford in June 2026 after receiving additional honors from universities in the United States. The University of Szeged professor is being recognized internationally for her groundbreaking mRNA research that transformed modern medicine and vaccine development. She will also participate in several scientific and cultural events in the United States during the America 250 celebrations.
