
Poland | The artistic and organizational manager of a prominent university folk ensemble has been elected chairperson of the Polish Dance Commission during a major national assembly. The election, which took place during the general general meeting of the domestic section of the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts, recognizes extensive contributions to folklore preservation.The electing organization operates globally as an official non-governmental partner of UNESCO to safeguard traditional performance arts. Under this new leadership, the specialized national commission will continue its mandate of organizing nationwide dance tournaments, coordinating scientific training conferences, and structuring modern qualification courses for regional dance instructors. The appointment highlights the growing role of university cultural networks in sustaining heritage arts both domestically and internationally.
