Sweden | Researchers from Lund University are taking part in a major international project to digitize and share 4000 year old cuneiform texts with a global audience Sweden The initiative introduces an Arabic digital platform that makes ancient Mesopotamian writings more accessible especially for people in the region where these texts originated The project includes important works such as the Epic of Gilgamesh and the Code of Hammurabi along with thousands of other historical records covering law science medicine and daily life Around 70000 lines are expected to be translated into different formats making them useful for both researchers and general readers Experts believe this effort will help preserve early writing systems and reconnect communities with their cultural heritage for future generations
