Student teachers from Atlantic Technological University participated in an international Erasmus+ programme focused on the role of artificial intelligence in education, hosted by Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen.The Blended Intensive Programme brought together students and lecturers from partner institutions, including Tampere University of Applied Sciences, combining online learning with an in-person week of workshops, school visits, and collaborative projects.Working in international teams, participants explored the use of AI in educational settings, addressing key topics such as ethical concerns, environmental impact, and bias in AI systems. Students also created interactive exhibitions to present their findings.The programme aimed to strengthen digital literacy, creativity, and communication skills among future teachers while preparing them to responsibly integrate AI into their professional practice. The initiative is part of an ongoing Erasmus+ collaboration, with a future edition planned at ATU’s Galway campus in 2027.
