Czech Republic | The 29th annual Baroko 2026 music festival will run from June 1 to June 17, bringing forgotten 17th- to 19th-century compositions back to life using historical instruments. Most performances, organized by the Historical Museum Society, will take place at the Regional Museum in Olomouc. The event features eight extraordinary concerts, including modern world premieres of sacred works by Czech composers. This year’s program highlights complex composition fugues by Antonín Rejcha and highly anticipated scenic opera productions, including Melani’s The Fratricide of Cain and Europa. The festival will also showcase rising international soprano Vojtěch Pelka alongside rare performances with historical clavichords. Organizers invite audiences to experience these unique revivals, which will later be made available as online video recordings.
