The Czech Semiconductor Center (CSC) has made significant strides in its first months of operation, supporting startups, students, and researchers across the national chip industry. Since its spring 2025 launch, CSC has built a dedicated team, established project governance, created a service catalog, and actively promoted semiconductor education. Key activities include workshops with Škoda Auto, a summer school for international students, and participation in high-level meetings at Prague Castle. CSC recently launched a quarterly English-language newsletter to share updates from the Czech and European semiconductor sectors.
CSC offers companies a wide range of services, including mentoring, financial advice, access to pilot production lines, and participation in a Europe-wide design platform. The center aims to accelerate the development of new semiconductor products while attracting skilled talent to strengthen the European microelectronics ecosystem.
The initiative is backed by a consortium of six partners: Brno University of Technology (VUT), Czech Technical University (ČVUT), onsemi, Codasip, the Czech National Semiconductor Cluster, and the innovation agency JIC, combining industry expertise with academic excellence.
