The Université de Liège has launched an online survey to better understand how to encourage more students to use bicycles for daily travel in Liège.Running from 13 to 24 April 2026, the survey targets students in higher education across Liège and aims to collect data on cycling habits, needs, and barriers. It explores topics such as bike parking facilities on campuses and at student housing, equipment used for cycling, and improvements needed in infrastructure and services. The initiative is being carried out in collaboration with several institutions, including ESA Saint-Luc Liège, HECh, HEL, HELMo, and HEPL. It is fully anonymous and complies with data protection regulations (GDPR). The results will be shared with local and regional authorities to support future mobility policies for students. The university highlights that student participation is essential to help shape safer, more practical, and more sustainable cycling conditions across campuses and the city.
