The Université de Liège has officially participated in the launch of Ucoopia, a new interuniversity NGO created through the merger of Eclosio and ULB-Coopération, later joined by the University of Mons.The inauguration event took place in Brussels and brought together over a hundred participants, including academic leaders, institutional partners, and representatives from civil society. The initiative aims to strengthen cooperation between universities and development actors to address global challenges through education, research, and field-based projects.Speakers highlighted the importance of interuniversity collaboration and knowledge sharing, emphasizing that sustainable solutions require collective and multidisciplinary approaches. The event also featured testimonies from field beneficiaries and introduced the organization’s new ambassadors, including figures from agroecology and science.The launch marks a new phase in strengthening university-driven development cooperation and expanding international impact through joint academic initiatives.
