The Polytechnic Institute of Braganca marked a significant milestone as its School of Hospitality and Wellness held its first Blessing Ceremony in Chaves, celebrating the graduation of its first cohort of students. The event took place on April 11 at the Main Church of Chaves and symbolized the completion of an important academic journey.The ceremony was presided over by Bishop António Augusto Azevedo of Vila Real and brought together students, families, and representatives from academic, civil, and military institutions. Graduates from Physiotherapy and Hotel Management programs celebrated the end of their studies and the beginning of their professional paths.Following the ceremony, institutional leaders congratulated the students on their achievements and encouraged their future contributions to society. The event concluded with a performance by the Real Tuna Universitária de Bragança.Celebrations continued in the afternoon with the traditional ribbon-burning ceremony, where graduates were individually honored in front of family and friends.
