Portugal | The Instituto Politécnico de Coimbra in Portugal took part in a science outreach initiative at Escola EB 23 de Ceira through the European UNIgreen alliance. The activity, titled Passo em Frente, was designed for fourth grade students from local schools to encourage interest in science and support their transition to the fifth grade.During the event, Vice President Cristina Galhano and intern Alexandre Penicheiro introduced students to sustainable agriculture and green biotechnology through practical demonstrations and interactive science activities.The initiative also included teachers from the school science club and trainee students from the School of Education, creating a collaborative learning environment focused on sustainability, innovation, and scientific discovery.
