Galway City Council in Galway has announced plans to launch a new alcohol free Christmas festival as part of its Christmas in Galway programme.The proposed event will take place at Fr Burke Park and is designed as a family friendly walk through festival experience. It will feature creative lighting, seasonal installations, live performances, music, and a selection of food and drink options focused on hot beverages and festive treats.City officials are inviting submissions from experienced operators to design and deliver the event. Applicants must demonstrate expertise in outdoor event production, including concept design, installation, operations, and safety management.The council aims to create a safe, welcoming, and accessible environment for visitors of all ages, with daily programming planned to run until 10 pm while ensuring minimal disruption to local residents.Interested operators must submit queries by April 29, with final proposals due by May 18.
