
Hungary | The Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the Rotary Club Gödöllő have launched a joint initiative in Gödöllő, Hungary, focused on sustainability and environmental education. The project combines academic research with community engagement to raise environmental awareness among young students.As part of the program, the university’s Aquaculture and Environmental Safety Institute worked with Rotary members to deliver interactive sessions for children aged 9 to 14, focusing on environmental pollution and microplastics through hands-on experiments.The initiative is linked to the international END PLASTIC SOUP movement and encourages students to apply scientific knowledge in real-life community actions. Participants were also named “Junior Environmental Ambassadors” to strengthen their role in promoting environmental responsibility.
