The University of Miskolc has achieved significant milestones in 2025. The institution rose to 714th in the Round University Ranking (RUR) world rankings, up from 738th last year, reflecting excellence in education, research, international diversity, and financial sustainability.
In the QS 2026 World University Rankings, the University of Miskolc retained its position within the 1201-1400 range globally and ranked 9th among Hungarian universities.
The campus continues to develop with the renovation of dormitories E/3 and E/4, which will host participants of the U20 Women’s Basketball European Championship Division B this summer.
Additionally, the Board of Trustees has recommended Prof. Dr. Zita Horváth as the next rector, ensuring strong leadership for the university’s future.
