Atlantic Technological University will host an international conference on fire safety engineering at its Letterkenny campus on May 1, 2026, marking 25 years of excellence in the field.Organised in collaboration with Engineers Ireland Fire and Safety Division, the event will bring together professionals, researchers, and students to explore modern challenges in fire safety engineering, including performance based design, modelling, and engineering judgement.The conference will feature internationally recognised experts such as Steve Gwynne, Wojciech Wegrzynski, and Barbara Lane, who will discuss topics ranging from evacuation modelling to regulatory responsibilities and lessons from major fire incidents.The event will also include panel discussions, industry exhibitions, networking opportunities, and a celebratory dinner to mark the programme’s milestone anniversary.
