
Austria | The Medical University of Vienna in Vienna, Austria is set to host the Long Night of Research on 24 April 2026, offering the public an immersive look into the future of medicine through a large-scale interactive event.Taking place across more than 15 locations around the MedUni Campus AKH, the event will feature over 200 stations showcasing cutting-edge medical research, innovative technologies, and hands-on demonstrations. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore topics ranging from neuroscience and cancer research to digital dentistry and emergency medicine.One of the major highlights includes live surgical procedures in areas such as cardiac, neurosurgery, and organ transplantation, allowing attendees to observe real-time medical interventions. In addition, interactive workshops will enable participants to try surgical techniques using advanced simulators, including robotic systems.The event will also feature exhibitions, including a special showcase related to Gustav Klimt, where his famous work “Medicine” has been digitally reconstructed using artificial intelligence in collaboration with cultural institutions.The Long Night of Research will run from 5 pm to 11 pm, with an افتتاح session beginning earlier in the day, making it accessible for families, students, and science enthusiasts alike.
