
Slovenia | Alma Mater Europaea has welcomed a new group of directors and senior managers participating in its leadership programme for social care institutions.The opening session of the programme featured introductory remarks from Slovenia’s Minister for a Solidary Future, Simon Maljevac, and Suzi Kvas, Secretary General of the Social Chamber of Slovenia. Both speakers highlighted the importance of professional, responsible, and holistic leadership in managing social care institutions.Following the opening, participants attended their first lecture led by Associate Professor Dr Barbara Toplak Perovič, focusing on the legal and safety framework governing social care institutions. The session aimed to provide participants with essential knowledge for effective governance and compliance within the sector.The programme is designed for directors of social care institutions as well as other senior professionals and management staff. It seeks to strengthen leadership capacity and improve the quality of services within the social care system through structured training and expert guidance.The initiative reflects a broader effort to support professional development in public and social services, ensuring that leaders are equipped to respond to complex organisational and societal challenges.
