
Portugal | The University of Lisbon has joined the latest edition of the Unite Sustainable Mobility Forum, a European initiative focused on addressing challenges and solutions in sustainable urban mobility.Running from April 17 to July 17, 2026, the online forum brings together students, academics, industry experts, and policymakers to explore key topics such as engineering innovation, public mobility policies, and strategies for climate-resilient cities. The program is part of the Unite! alliance and is conducted entirely in English.Designed for students in fields like engineering, urban planning, transport, and logistics, the course offers up to 12 ECTS credits depending on the participant’s home university. Participation is free and includes interactive seminars, discussions, and expert-led sessions.The initiative aims to equip students with a deeper understanding of the links between mobility, accessibility, sustainability, and climate resilience. It also highlights the role of emerging factors such as artificial intelligence, pandemics, and big data in shaping modern transport systems.The Instituto Superior Tecnico, part of the University of Lisbon, will actively contribute with dedicated sessions, including discussions on urban airport noise and other mobility-related challenges.This participation reinforces the university’s commitment to international collaboration and to preparing students for global sustainability challenges through innovative and interdisciplinary education.
